Originally a modern dancer, Sarah became exposed to her own and others' aches and pains, injuries, and struggles with alignment. These experiences brought her to look for a holistic tool to realign bodies, treat pain, and soothe the spirit.
Starting first with a study in massage therapy, Sarah attended the Swedish Institute in New York City. During her studies, she also grew more and more astounded at the Pilates lessons she was taking on her own time and so studied for her certification at the Kane School in New York. The combination of massage work, education about the body, active alignment work of Pilates, and strength training of Pilates changed her own body and created a sense of physical ease she had never experienced. Those four elements now inform Sarah's work to no end.
But whether you participate in massage and Pilates or just one, she always believes the sessions are not just about the work, but about learning as well. If you walk away from a session having learned something about your body, she considers it a success.
